“Work Up , Stressed Up , crashed down”

Here story is a painful but also is a value lesson for us . Work hard but take care of your health too . This lesson came too late to a singaporean girl name is May Leong who died on 23 april 2007 .

Just 2 days before she wrote a blog ” i don’t want to end up dead for the sake of dough ” . Her mum and her friends believe that she was stressed out from her work . Going by her blog entry dated 21 april . - her only entry this year - her job seemed demangding .

she was clearly struggling to cope with the workload . Just before she died , who would have been 29 years old this month had been working on her laptop for 8 hours said by her mum . although the cause of death cant be confirmed for now , but they believe that she died from pulmonary embolism caused by deep vein thrombosis .

This is a condition that can strike when someone has been inactive for a long period of time .

” I really thought i was able to do everything , that i can be supergirl as well , but my health is worsening at a fast rate , ” she wrote in her blog .

The singaporean is an only child . Her dad left her when she was young said a relative , leaving the mother and daughter to fend for themselve .

That early trauma bonded the pair who become close .

May Leong worked in a multi national company and apparently drew a salary around $2500+ per month . She want to earn a lot of money because she had a dream : to take her mum abroad for a vacation . Friends and family said she was handworking on earning enough to realise her dream . That is the reason why she continued to keep her job and despite being stressd by it .

“We hardly had time to chat on internet by msn or skype since she started her job about few months ago ” said her friends .

Miss Leong had been working at different jobs untill she joined her last company in september last year , said Mr.Li who is her close friend for 3 years .

In march she switched department in the same company and work become more demanding . Miss Leong is a support manager was thrilled to ” finally have the chance to “fly high” in a Fortune 500 MNC ” .

She waked up at 3.30 or 4.30 am to work everyday as dealing with New zealand partners . But she never realise what kind of stuff coming towards to her . What she face everyday as a partner support manager is having more than 100 emails per day .

” Partners from New Zealand practically “screaming ” to be served first , getting thier orders delivered as soon as posibble wanting everything and complaining of everything .

Then She collapsed because of she had been working non-stop for 8 hours with her laptop on her lap replying to email and work related stuff .
