Thailand Travel - 13 days Thailand backpacking

Fuyooo….just finish my 1st backpacking experience. This is a wonderful experience of a lifetime. The hustle bustle of Bangkok, calm of Chang Mai, rich of Golden Triangle and the mysterious of ancient Angkror Wat (cambodia) still deeply buried in my mind. Sure, won’t miss the friends that I met throughout the trip. The power of tourism in Thailand makes me totally crazy. The friendliness from Thais makes me feel most welcome in Thailand. The helpfulness from Thais makes sure all my plans run smoothly…Thank you to Thailand for giving me a wonderful experience. This trip really changes my perception of living.

Before I continue my writing,,show you some food pictures 1st…haha,I like to eat Thai Food.

chang mai resepi

This is Chang Mai most favourite food - Kao Shoi ( Green Curry Mee). I voted this as the most delicious food in Thailand. Kao shoi is the traditional chang mai food. It’s is hard to see elsewhere in Thailand, even at bangkok. So, you must try when you reached Chang Mai. ( this set cost RM 8)
chang mai soup noodles

While I trying the Kao Shoi, my friend ordered a Chang Mai soup noodles. “Variety is good”. However, I already forget the name of it. If you like Penang Asam Laksa, most probably you will like it. However, it’s taste a bit ‘weird’ for me. ( RM9 )

thai food

This is some of the food in Chang Mai Sunday Market. The market is so big, about 4XCheras ‘hong lok’ night market. I started visit the market at 12pm and finished at 9pm. This is look like ’satay celuk’ in Malacca, but the food decoration likes eating in 5 stars hotel!!!

This is Thailand pork sausage. (sorry for Muslim). It is good to try but not nice to eat. lol. The sausage is make from blended pork and ‘nasi belut’. It good to try because it is cheap (RM1) and look beautiful, but sorry,it really bad taste( for me). I vomit out from my 1st bite.

This is like ‘apam or apum’ in Malaysia. It’s sweet but look cute. Just try IT!!!

thai desert

This is Chang Mai Desert. I also dunno the name. So, just called it mixed fruit juice. Haha..

Feel Hungry?May be you can try to pick up some snacks and continue your reading later. After viewed some nice foods, lets me show you some ‘local food’. 99% no imitation from other country.

This is the local sneaks. Which one more crunchy, this or Pringles?

I’m a 1st year university student in one of the local re-known university. This is what most of the parents hoping for their children. Therefore, their children will have a high-paid job in future. Earning huge amount of money from ’sick’ people. Living in bungalow, driving Benz, dining in fancy restaurant. This is what parents wish for their children even before they start to send their children to kindergarden.

Actually, I have been dreaming to have a backpacking since I’m in secondary school. But, what I know about backpacking only a little. Until now, I only able to have my first trip at 21 years old. Actually it still a very early age for Malaysian backpacker, but very common for westerner. I ever met a British girl who is 18, backpack alone to south-east Asia.

With a lonely planet travel guide, “our bible” in my backpack, I start my first backpacking with my colleague to Thailand. We reach bangkok’s Don Muang airport about 10pm. After had a dinner at the train station, we able to catch a mid night train to Chang Mai. To safe money, we only bought a fan-bed to our 12 hours train trip. This is the most horrible train experience before. The noisy of train make me can’t sleep the all night. The smell in the congested train likes a messy dorm in hostel.

thailand train

This is an incoming train. My train is exactly the same with this train. See how power it is.

At about 12pm, we reached the Chang Mai. There are plenty of travel agents waiting at the exit to offer wide range of accommodation services. To play safe, we decided to refer to “our bible”. We choose the cheapest guesthouse but highly rank in LP to call. It is Banana Guesthouse. We have been told that their agent is always waiting customer at the exit. So, we straight find the agent at the exit. Then, we taken by ‘sungthew’ to their guesthouse. Then, I have visited Karen village, golden triangle, mae sai, Bangkok and Angkor wat.

For the subsequent events, it is better for you all to discover yourself, instead of me telling you. “Better experience by yourself instead of reading plenty of travel story” a modified phase taken from a Chinese Philosophy. Hope everyone can find the right you.
