So far, there are few names for the song. The author name it “we love UM” and UM kuku”. Therefore, i try to ask for opinion from my UM friends. Actually, The actual title is We love UM. But due to the popularity of negarakuku, the uploader try to name it as UMkuku. As if you really understood the meaning behind the negarakuku, then most probably you know the meaning of UM kuku.

Referring to the comments from Joceline Tan on 10march in the star newspaper, I found that her views could be regarded as representing the Chinese community. At the same time, I read opinions stated in the Star blog column, and these writings support what Veronica has commented. The main factor on the tsunami change of the Chinese vote towards DAP has been on the allegation of revival on NEP and the ‘body snatching’ issue as quoted by Joceline. In the same article, the writer praised MCA for their excellent job, thus we can assumed that the BN government has done excellent jobs in terms of economic growth. Thus MCA was not blame for the swing in the Chinese vote but merely to punish the government led by UMNO, according to Joceline. The article also stated that the Chinese also has been very sympathy with the HINDRAF movement that has also been the main factor for the swing in the Indians vote. Putting all these factors mentioned, as a Malay, I feel responsible to give my points. In my points, the Chinese and the Indians have wrongly perceived that the Malays can easily received helps by the government, while other races received little or nothing. For instance, jobs in the government are opened to all races. Government jobs are advertised in the main newspaper such as Mingguan Malaysia and Berita Harian as Bahasa Malaysia is a national language. However, due to the fact that the Chinese and Indians did not purchase these papers or even fluent in our national language, in my opinion the job applicants from the non malays has been very small. The government should not be blamed in this issue because the government has been encouraging Malaysians to sent their schools to the national schools. However, the non Malays has been more interested to have their kids to go to the venicular schools, which mean most of them will pick up very little Bahasa Malaysia. Actually, the non malays has becoming too racist by wanting more venicular schools to be built and these goes against the concept of true Malaysian. I really can’t understand why many non malays prefer to go against the national schools in Malaysia, but in Chinese dominated countries such as Singapore, this is not a big issue. Even, when it comes to government jobs, the non malays prefer to apply the high position jobs rather than the non management posts. As a malay I interprete this as the fact that the Chinese feel that they are dominant more than other races. In a company dominated by the Chinese people, malay employees receive unfair treatment in terms of pay and promotions, unless you come from a well known family, that the company can use this as a mileage. A friend who organize trips tours to China receive threats from a Chinese telling him to stop doing this because the Chinese market belong t the Chinese tour operators. All these unpositive experience are put together and as a malay, we perceive that the Chinese are very racist, which prefer to keep wealth and knowledge among their own race only. The Chinese may thought that NEP has a ‘racist’ element. However, the Chinese and the Indians themselves has been very racist in many ways. Having this perception, we support UMNO very much because UMNO is the frontline to unite the malays. The chinese however felt that that UMNO is very arrogant, as ample types of incentives are given to the malays. But we felt that the BN government has also been giving incentives to the non malays but this may not be promoted in a bigger way in fear that they lost the malay support. UMNO is competing with PAS in championing the malay issues In addition, the Chinese choose to segregate themselves by building more vernicular schools and I could not understand why MCA and MIC lack in explaining the need for national integration.
